Terms & Conditions
Definitions as used for the purposes of these terms and conditions:
"we" and "us" is defined as being Mamore Chimney Sweeping and is hereby also known as "the company".
"you" and "customer" is defined as the homeowner, landlord, tenant or whomever resides or otherwise at the property upon which the booking for work to be carried out is made or is otherwise authorised to make such bookings.
All work is guaranteed to be safe, sound and free from defects at the time the work is carried out. Any parts used come with a full manufacturers guarentee where applicable as set out in their own terms and conditions and subject to the full extent of UK and Scottish law. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Any claim for defective or inadequate work carried out by us must be made to us verbally or in writing within 7 days of said work being carried out. Claims after this time will be dealt with entirely at the companies discretion. We will endevour to rectify any faulty workmanship as soon as practicable and to the customers satisfaction. Should it be deemed by us or the customer that satisfactory rectification of any faulty workmanship cannot be reasonably made then a full refund will be given for the said work, excluding any parts used or purchased by us on behalf of the customer. The cost of any parts will only be refunded if the parts are returned to us in a new condition, free from any defect, claims for faulty parts under the manufacturers guarantee excluded. Faulty or defective parts will be replaced free of charge provided said parts are still covered by the manufacturers guarantee, after this time replacement parts can only be provided at the stated cost for parts and labour as set out in our published prices which are in force at that time.
All prices are subject to change from time to time as deemed appropriate by us. Whilst every effort will be made by us to ensure that published prices on this website and elsewhere are correct they may be superceded and/or changed by us at any time without notice. We may offer parts and/or labour at a discounted price from time to time and entirely at our discretion. Used parts may be sold to the customer, with the customer's agreement, at a discounted price from that of new ones subject to stock availablity and they will be free from any guarantee other than our workmanship.
All work undertaken by us is subject to it being deemed by us to be safe to carry out said work for health and safety purposes. If for any reason we deem it unsafe to carry out work, either due to building/material/site defects etc. or due to inclement weather we reserve the right to arrange to carry out said work at another time or to refuse to carry out work entirely.
If for any reason after taking a booking for work to be carried out we find that we are unable to attend at the agreed time for whatever reason, we will endevour to contact you as soon as possible. You reserve the right to cancel the booking or to arrange another date and time for the work to be carried out.
If for any reason you wish to cancel a booking or need to arrange another date and time you must inform us as soon as possible. If you fail to notify us of a cancelled booking and we attend at the agreed time and date and are unable to carry out the work that you requested, we reserve the right, at our discretion to charge you £20 for a missed appointment each and every time it occurs.
All parts supplied to the customer and/or fitted at the customer's request remain entirely the property of Mamore Chimney Sweeping until the said parts are paid for in full. We reserve the right to remove any parts fitted should full payment not be recieved at time of completion or a time agreed by us and the customer. Should parts have to be removed due to non-payment, we may, at our discretion, charge the customer for doing so. In this instance an invoice will be issued which must be payed in full within 28 days.
We will carry Public Liability Insurance to protect the public and our customers should anything untoward happen. Any minor damage caused to the customers property by us due to neglegence will either be rectified by us free of charge or we will reimburse the customer for any expense incurred by way of private agreement, failing that via our insurance policy.
